I loved Everything about our stay at the Painted Lady! This is a historic property that has been perfectly restored. The suites are so comfortable and filled with anything a weary traveller could possibly need. I love a really good suite when travelling, and this place more than fills the bill. A cozy living area, a well stocked kitchen with Plenty of coffee, a gorgeous bathroom, lovely bedroom ...Wow! The suites are filled with beautiful and quirky art which I love, the outdoor space is filled with charm, as is the host. Jesse greets his guests in an old trolley for a beer at 5:00, which is an absolute delight, so fun to chat with him about the fascinating history of the place with other guests in the evening before going out. On-site parking is terrific, safe and secure. My husband and I both highly recommend the Painted Lady.

The accommodation was a former brothel with an interesting history. The owner Jesse has made a fabulous job of renovating this property, retaining the character of the history of the rooms. Each is decorated with memorabilia that make this place stand out more than your average hotel room. The outside areas are quirky and cleverly make use of re-purposing items. Parking is secure behind a gated entrance. The addition of the brew house offers the chance to meet fellow guests for a happy hour drink in the bar - a delightfully renovated tram car! The converted tram car is a unique bar experience. Highly recommended. A short walk away is an excellent family Mexican restaurant with delicious food. If you’d are heading to Albuquerque.. this is an experience to savour.

So comfortable and inviting, could have stayed right here for a week. Jesse (owner) and Kate (bartender extraordinare) have created a community, family and dog friendly haven - from the unique decor of the suites to the Hoppy Hour trolley car. There is also an outdoor area for lectures (on ghosts when we were there) and music. If food had been served, we'd never have ventured out. (Although, the nearby ABQ Aquarium and Botanical Garden is a must do - as well as Old Town.)

The studio was large, comfortable and very tastefully decorated. The private, secure parking space was very welcome. The location is convenient to the old town and some very good eating places. The Sawmill Market with its many food outlets, is very popular. The quirky bar is an interesting attachment. The whole outside space is very attractive and thoughtfully presented with lots of places to relax.

The Painted Lady Bed and Brew was a last minute find (booked the day of). It ended up becoming one of our favorite places to stay ... ever! This lodging is housed in an historic building that used to be a brothel AND it has a history of having been haunted (didn't know that until arrival). We booked a suite, and were pleasantly surprised to see that our name had been written in chalk on our door in welcome, even though the property has a keyless entry process. In fact, all the details in our suite (the Jessie Suite) were just divine; they were carefully chosen: to represent the 19th-centuryr and/or ghostly aesthetic (lots of dia de los muertos artwork and film posters, etc). the kitchen was well-appointed, leather couch and beds comfortable. We had our own private back porch too. The property has a wide front porch lined with comfortable rocking chairs. We loved sitting there. But, the details just get better. Every adult guest is greeted with a free home-brewed beer in the property's cozy renovated "ghost streetcar saloon." And, the night we arrived happened to be the free monthly community ghost story telling event right in the garden. We couldn't ask for more ... what a way to spend the evening, and what an amazing find. This lodging is the best. Indeed, it was one of our favorite New Mexico experiences (ranking up there with the Tent Rocks slot canyon hike). Thanks so much. If we visit Albuquerque again, we will return!

Our family of 4 (kids 12,15) stayed in the Jessie Suite and worked well for our group. We were staying in ABQ for just a couple of nights but didn't want to stay in a hotel...the Painted Lady fit the bill. Although with the full kitchen, we could have stayed much longer! The grounds were very well done and inviting. I can imagine someone having a party/wedding here! The highlight for us and our kids was the Ghost trolley where they served their Painted Lady brew as well as other beverages. The beer was great but the atmosphere was the best part....everyone should have a beer trolley! We walked to dinner both nights we stayed (Cocina Azul-excellent! and the Saw Mill Market-great option for lots of food options and fun outdoor area to sit). Also was close to Old town (15-20 min walk). We met Jesse, the owner, the first night who was working the bar in the trolley. Super nice guy and was happy to support a small business owner with a great vision! Would recommend to stay to anyone.

Lovely, very interesting older building (with a past!) and fun place to stay. Our one bed apartment was large and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen area, and was decorated with lots of memorabilia from its late Victorian heyday. We took advantage of the free late afternoon beer on offer in the wonderfully over-the-top re-purposed old trolleycar and really enjoyed it, with the lovely hostess looking after us very well. The beer (brewed on site) tasted great too. Only 15 minutes walk to Albuquerque Old Town.

Property was very nice and maintained. There was a small comedy show and trolly ride you could do as well. Bartender was super nice and friendly.

Very nice location close to friends we were visiting. Also easy access to highway 40. Room was very comfortable and included a kitchen. Bed was good. Loved the brewery in the back and a complimentary beer was included each night we stayed.

This place is a masterpiece of attention to detail. Everything about it was excellent. No detail was missed and quality of ownership was evident in every detail. Kudos to the owner, Jessie, for the fine work he did.
